Files:

  •   bpwin2.zip (7 Mb) or bpwin2.exe Self-extracting archive and installation program for Windows98 or later based BioProc2. Note, this program may require updating the Windows system. This should not create any problems for newer operating systems. It merely updates several .DLL files to permit proper functioning of the Visual Basic 6 programs. For Windows98 there has been problems with MSVCRT.DLL.  You should NOT upgrade this file.  BioProc2 can use the older version but the install program comes with the latest Visual Studio version 6. (Click here for the older version of MSVCRT.DLL). This files goes in the directory C:\Windows\System.
  •   NewBioProc2.exe (2.3 Mb) Latest version of BioProc2. Note, you must run the installation program, bpwin2.zip, once prior to your first use of BioProc2.
  • BIOPROC.EXE (330 Kb) Original DOS version of BioProc. It is now only used for ensemble averaging.
  • BPwin98.exe (115 Kb) Windows interface to BIOPROC.EXE, DOS version of BioProc.
  • Quick reference guide to BioProc2

  •
  •   bioproc.pdf (1.0 Mb) BioProc1 User's Manual in PDF format (needs Acrobat Reader). Note, when used with the Biomech system this file should be placed in the \MANUALS subdirectory of the \BIOMECH directory (e.g., x:\Program files\BIOMECH\MANUALS). Note, the BioProc2 manual is not yet available but the BioProc User's Manual will give some insight into what features are available in BioProc2.

  • How to install the system:

To install, download the BPWIN2.EXE file to a hard disk subdirectory, such as, C:\TEMP. If an archiver program such as WinZip or PowerArchiver is installed the archive should open automatically. To obtain a copy of PowerArchiver click the following URL: http://www.powerarchiver.com.

Once the program has been installed you may install upgrades by just copying the file BIOPROC2.EXE to the program directory you selected during installion.
