Purpose:

To promote education and research into musculoskeletal problems both within the health care community as well as to the public of the Ottawa-Carleton region.

To coordinate and facilitate interaction among the various disciplines involved in musculoskeletal problems.

To encourage development of multidisciplinary research among the musculoskeletal disciplines.

To offer a forum for discussion of common musculoskeletal issues of interest to the musculoskeletal community.

Composition:

Representation from the major musculoskeletal disciplines including Orthopaedic Surgery, Rheumatology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Rehabilitation Engineering, Physical Medicine, Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, and Prosthetics & Orthotics.

• Encourage basic and applied research in human movement and clinical gait analysis utilizing the currently established research and clinical facilities.
