    Lunch with the Dean

    Dean Prud’homme met up with the representatives of all the undergraduate student associations of the Faculty of Health Sciences for the first brown-bag luncheon of the year. It was a great occasion to inform each other about the Faculty’s priorities and answer questions and issues from the students.

    Student at the School of Human Kinetics wins a prize

    Rachel Armstrong, MSc graduate student at the School of Human Kinetics won the commission on graduate studies in sciences prize awarded annually for an outstanding masterís thesis. She works in close collaboration with her thesis supervisor, Professor Glen Kenny. She will receive her prize, worth $500 at the Convocation Ceremony on October 31. Congratulations!

    Major grant awarded to the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa to study Canadian miners

    Glen Kenny, full professor at the School of Human Kinetics received a $258,000 two-year research grant to study Canadian minors. This amount, awarded by the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is the most important grant to date. Read the press release.
