ARCHIVES

Nursing history research depends on the long-term survival of textual materials and artifacts donated from nurses, nurses’ relatives and other sources. The Nursing History Research Unit does not have the facilities to take in and care for these important resources. It is not an archives nor a museum. It is developing, however, a list of places in which these materials can be properly preserved. People who wish to donate articles that they feel are of interest to nursing history research may contact the Unit for advice on finding appropriate museums or archives. Archives and museums may also contact the Unit if they wish to post requests for nursing artifacts.
