Discovering the value of food
As part of Nutrition Month, 1st year students in the Nutrition Sciences Program presented their term projects on March 24th. Each team talked about a particular food, its nutritional value, its health effects and gave you a taste of a meal concocted with it (see table). Thank you for coming and having a look; after all, eyes are bigger than one's stomach!

Let's dance! First Nutrition Sciences Program celebrates at prom
It is with great pleasure that the Faculty of Health Sciences congratualtes its first cohort of the Nutrition Sciences Program. Together one last time before entering their practicum placements and officially graduating in Fall 2011, students celebrated their success with the professors as the first Nutrition Sciences Program cohort at the University of Ottawa.
During the evening, the Dean Dr. Denis Prud'homme expressed his pride and gratitude to these pioneers, both students and professors, who contributed to the success of this new program, now in full boom. The evening was also punctuated with touching moments such as the presentation of a long video of pictures and audio which illustrated the last four years of the group.
Congratulations to all!
