The purposes of the Faculty of Health Sciences grants:        

• Provide start-up funds to help new investigators develop research programs;
• Provide start-up funds to professors developing new areas of research;
• Provide interim funding for researchers seeking external funding;
• Help graduate students and faculty members present papers at scholarly conferences;
• Support groups of researchers who are interested in organizing a research seminar or a conference.
