Upcoming Deadlines for Mitacs Elevate, Globalink, and Networking & Training Programs
In addition to its unique research and training programs, Mitacs provides matching funds for Master’s, Doctoral, and Post-Doctoral projects which involve industry-university collaborative research in any discipline.
Several deadlines for Mitacs programs are approaching fast. Take note of the dates below and visit the Mitacs website to learn more about its initiatives.
Mitacs Elevate
Supporting post-docs for up to 2 years
Mitacs Elevate is a unique program for post-docs to develop research collaborations with local industry. This competitive program also includes a large training component with the intention of helping PDFs to develop the skills that they will need in their future careers. Applicants may apply to the program with or without an industrial partner though preference may be given to those applicants with company support.
The present call for proposals in Ontario closes on November 17, 2011.
Mitacs Globalink
Supporting International Connections with talented undergrads
This is a fully-funded opportunity to engage a high quality international undergraduate student for a 12 week research internship. The students are preparing for their final year of study, will have at least an 8/10 GPA (8.75/10 in 2011) and will soon be considering their choice of universities for post-graduate studies. This is an opportunity to preview potential Masters/Doctoral candidates, and to leverage the technical expertise developed in the top universities in India, China, Brazil and other expansion geographies in your research team.
The opportunity to submit projects is currently open on the Mitacs website and will remain open until October 1, 2011.
