Biography
Dr Jing Xian Li has engaged in teaching, clinical practice, and sports medicine and sports science related research since 1983. She is Associate Professor of School of Human Kinetics, University of Ottawa. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports since 2006 and has been awarded a fellow of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports since 2008. Jing Xian is actively involved in the biomechanics of Tai Chi exercise, biomechanics of mobility and postural stability, and biomechanics of foot and shoes. In the past seven years, she has published more than 20 original research papers in the international peer reviewed journals, such as Gait and Posture, Journal of Biomechanics, Sports Biomechanics, and 8 book chapters.
