Biography
During his doctoral training, Pascal Imbeault has been interested to adipose tissue metabolism in humans. His constant interest for adipose tissue led him to complete a 2 years postdoctoral training in Australia during which he developed expertise in cell and molecular biology related to primary cell culture of human preadipocytes. His research activities now focus on the impact of different factors (i.e., exercise, diet restriction, environmental pollutants and energetic supplements) on adipose tissue-derived proteins involved in the control of body weight control and insulin sensitivity. Overall, these works will provide further conceptual background in the effort of understanding the pathophysiology, treatment and prevention of obesity and its related disorders.
