Master of Human Kinetics (M.H.K)

The MHK is a professional program that prepares students for one or two concentrations: Sport Management or in Intervention and consultation in sport. The program is course-based with an emphasis on a supervised internship that seeks to enhance the personal, academic and career development of students. Academic goals include developing such cognitive skills as problem solving, critical thinking, analysis and synthesis and, most importantly, relating theory to practice. Students who have completed the requirements of the intervention and consultation stream are eligible to apply for membership in the Canadian Mental Training Registry.



Degree Requirements - 30 credits

  • Compulsory for students in Administration of Sport and Physical Activity (21 credits)
  • Compulsory courses for students in Intervention and Consultation in Sport, Physical Activity, and Health (21 credits)
  • Optional Courses (9 credits)
  • List of courses available

Students must select optional courses with the approval of the Director of Graduate Studies.
