Community Health Research Unit
Established in 1989 and is co-sponsored by the University of Ottawa (Department of Epidemiology and Community Medicine and the School of Nursing) and the Public Health Unit.

Multiple Interventions for Community Health program
Research, education and mentoring program. Its education and mentoring program offered as part of a CHSRF/CIHR Nursing Chair award held by Dr. Nancy Edwards. 

The Patient Decision Aids research group
Part of the Ottawa Health Decision Centre (OHDeC) at the Ottawa Health Research Institute.

AMS Nursing History Research Unit
Opened in June 2005 this is the first funded academic unit in Canada dedicated to the production and dissemination of new knowledge in Canadian nursing history.

Nursing Best Practice Research Unit (NBPRU)
Formally established in 2005 through a partnership between the University of Ottawa, School of Nursing, and the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO).

Unit for Critical Research in Health (UCRH)
Established in 2006. to conduct and facilitate critical research in health. (website link when available.

Nursing Palliative Care Research Unit - NPCRU
Established in 2009 to provide leadership, mentorship and support for professors and graduate students pursuing excellence in palliative care research and education.
