It’s a tremendous pleasure to welcome you to the heart of the University of Ottawa community and of Canada’s national capital.

We are proud to be hosting you on Canadian soil for this inaugural edition of the International Clinical Nursing Research Conference.

As you take part in this gathering of experts from around the world, you’ll discover the scope, depth and vibrancy of the knowledge that drives both our clinical nursing care network and our Faculty of Health Sciences.

We hope you’ll take full advantage of your stay on campus to build new partnerships and, as such, contribute to the advancement of research and its impact on clinical nursing care.

I thank you for having accepted our invitation and also hope we’ll have a chance to meet personally. In the meantime, on behalf of the entire team at the Faculty of Health Sciences and the School of Nursing, my best wishes for a fabulous conference.

WELCOME MESSAGE !

Jocelyne

I’m delighted to welcome you to the University of Ottawa, host of the inaugural International Clinical Nursing Research Conference.

The Conference’s lectures, poster presentations and thematic workshops will provide all of us with the opportunity to not only exchange insights on clinical nursing care, but also explore how new knowledge generated through research can tie into nursing practice.

We will address both the political and organizational aspects of care while emphasizing the need to educate and inform clients and health care professionals. In addition, the interaction between practitioners and researchers will create a catalyst for the application of knowledge in clinical settings—a vital process in the delivery of quality care to individuals, groups and entire populations.

So, I hope that your exchanges and discussions at the Conference will prove productive and that you’ll enjoy your experience here at the University of Ottawa.
